Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR)

Location: Portland, Maine

Job Details

  • Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
  • Shift: Primarily 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM (36 hours) or 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM (40 hours), with occasional weekends or call
  • Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
  • Contract Length: 26 weeks
  • EMR System: EPIC
  • Patient Population: Pediatric to geriatric patients
  • Procedures: Laryngoscopy, sinus surgery, facial plastics and trauma, cochlear implants, oral surgery, complex head and neck cancer surgery, tonsillectomy, tympanoplasty
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced, trauma level 1 setting

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Maine
  • Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Experience in ENT surgery
  • Experience in plastic surgery
  • Experience in pediatrics
  • Experience in trauma cases
