Cath Lab Registered Nurse - Travel/Contract

Location: Saratoga Springs, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

• Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)
• Call Requirement: 9-10 days per month
• Electronic Medical Record System: EPIC
• Local Travel Restriction: Primary residence must be outside the following counties within 50 miles: Warren, Washington, Fulton, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Albany, Columbia, Greene, Dutchess, Ulster

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Cardiac Cath Lab, including experience within the last year
• Experience in Interventional Radiology
• Current ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Health and Safety Requirements

• Physical exam and occupational health clearance prior to start (including TSH Medical History form)
• Negative TB or chest X-ray documentation as per policy
• Drug screening per facility and agency requirements
• Immunization documentation or approved declinations/exemptions for:

  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR)
  • Varicella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Seasonal flu vaccine (or approved medical/religious exemption)
• Completion of N95 OSHA questionnaire and fit testing
• Completion of Ishihara color deficiency test prior to start (can be done onsite)

Additional Requirements

• Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license or state ID)
• Passport-style photo for badge (plain background, neutral/friendly expression)
• Signed FCRA Authorization Release prior to start
• Lift assessment (typically 25 lbs; may be 10 lbs depending on position)
• Completion of facility-specific documents including ECG study guide, PPD questionnaire, and others as required
• Flu vaccine exemptions require prior approval and mask wearing in patient-facing areas

Notes

• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position.
• Candidates must be prepared to complete all required competency exams and certifications within 72 hours of contract signing.
• Failure to pass required exams after three attempts may result in contract cancellation.
• Facility requires strict adherence to local residence restrictions for travel nurses.
