Description
Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel/Contract)
Location: Leonardtown, Maryland
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
Hours per Week: 36 hours
Job Description
- Provide nursing care in a high-risk Labor and Delivery unit.
- Must have experience with high-risk L&D patients.
- Responsibilities include circulating, fetal heart monitoring (FHM), precepting, charge nurse duties, and triage (preferred).
- Float within related skillsets such as Mom/Baby and postpartum care.
- Call requirement: 36 hours in 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period; must be on premises within 45 minutes of call.
- Work every other weekend and every other holiday.
Required Certifications
- C-EFM (Continuous Electronic Fetal Monitoring) through NCC (National Certification Corporation) at submission.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) – AHA or ARC certified
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- STABLE certification
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland.
- Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year.
- Experience working with high-risk Labor and Delivery patients.
- Experience in charge nurse roles.
- Completion of an Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- At least 1 prior travel nursing assignment.
- Proficient in fetal heart monitoring (FHM).
- Current ACLS certification.
- Current BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Current NRP certification.
- Current C-EFM certification.
- Current STABLE certification.
