Description

Job Opportunity: Radiology Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Richmond, Virginia
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)

Job Description

Focus on MRI & CT outpatient care.
Responsibilities include starting IVs for MRI & CT, performing point-of-care testing (POCT), and verifying patient medications, vital signs, lab results, and history to ensure safety before imaging studies.
Respond to IV infiltration, contrast reactions, patient falls, or other patient safety events.
Emphasis on patient and team safety around the MRI magnet.
MRI Full Stop training is required.
Preferred candidates have Diagnostic Imaging Radiology experience or a progressive care background.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
Minimum of 1 year of radiology experience within the last year
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Orientation Safety Manual Acknowledgement
