Description

Cath Lab Tech - Travel/Contract

Location: Snellville, Georgia
Contract Length: 14 weeks


Job Summary

  • Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
  • Patient Population: Adults to Geriatrics
  • Shift: Day shift, 4 days per week, 10 hours per day (7:00 AM - 5:30 PM)
  • Work Setting: 3 rooms with 5 beds, average daily census 8-10 patients
  • Floating: Within department and facility; possible float to sister campus
  • Call Requirement: 10 call days per month
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Requirement: Work 1-2 major holidays if they fall during assignment (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Day, New Year’s Eve/Day)
  • Return to Office (RTO): Maximum 7 days

Required Experience & Skills

  • Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Experience with Epic

Required Certifications & Licenses

  • Current and valid Georgia State license for Cath Lab Tech role
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • RCIS or RCES or ARRT (CV)

Compliance & Screening

  • Full compliance with all credentialing and onboarding requirements required to start on time
  • Clinical screening to determine clinical fit before final approval
  • Background check required within 30 days of start, including education verification
  • Drug screen: Negative 10-panel drug test within 60 days of start (includes amphetamines, benzodiazepines, barbiturates, cocaine, opiates, methadone, PCP, propoxyphene, THC)
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Annual TB questionnaire and negative TB test or chest x-ray within 12 months (or proof of positive TB with negative chest x-ray within 6 months)
  • Immunizations/vaccinations required or proof of immunity:
    • 2 MMR vaccines or positive titers (measles, mumps, rubella)
    • 2 Varicella vaccines or positive titer
    • Hepatitis B surface antibody titer or signed declination
    • Flu vaccine or signed declination (required during flu season)
  • Color blindness test required (with alternative assessment if needed)
  • Medication/pharmacology competency exam required
  • Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required (3 attempts allowed; failure results in cancellation)
  • Skills checklist within 12 months, updated annually
  • Work history verification and 2 clinical references required

  • Scrub color provided by facility
  • Orientation hours vary based on contract length
  • Dress and professional appearance policy must be reviewed and acknowledged
  • Code of conduct must be reviewed and signed prior to start

This position is ideal for experienced Cath Lab Techs with prior travel contract experience who meet the certification and clinical skill requirements and are comfortable working in a fast-paced cardiology environment with advanced cardiac devices.

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
