Job Opportunity: Speech-Language Pathologist (Pediatrics) - Travel/Contract

Location

  • Lanham, Maryland

Position Details

  • Specialty: Therapy/Rehabilitation (Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist)
  • Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8 hours per day (8:30 AM – 5:30 PM)
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • No weekends or holidays required

Required Experience and Skills

  • Pediatric Speech-Language Pathology experience is required
  • Feeding and swallowing skills with pediatric patients are required

Required Qualifications and Certifications

  • Valid Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist license in Maryland
  • Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (1 year of experience)
  • Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Feeding and swallowing skills

Health and Immunization Requirements

  • Physical exam within 30 days of start, including latex allergy information
  • Fit test for N95 or equivalent mask within 1 year of start, updated annually
  • Immunizations or titers with lab values required for:
    • Measles (Rubeola)
    • Mumps
    • Rubella
    • Varicella
    • Hepatitis B (series and quantitative antibody titer)
    • Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (Tdap within 10 years)
  • Negative TB test (PPD, QGold, or TSPOT) within 60 days of start or chest x-ray if previously positive
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season
  • COVID-19 vaccination or declination required for tracking purposes
  • 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 30 days of start

Additional Requirements

  • Completion of facility-specific orientation and safety modules prior to start
  • Photo for badge must meet strict guidelines (recent, full face, plain background, no alterations)
  • Two professional references dated within the past two years (preferably supervisors/managers)
  • Employment application and skills checklist required before start
  • Facility-specific training modules and acknowledgments as assigned

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
