Travel Registered Nurse (Medical Surgical) - Saint Louis, Missouri


Job Details

  • Shift: Night shift, 4 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
  • Guaranteed Hours: Yes
  • Patient Ratio: 1:6
  • Start Date: Approximately 3-4 weeks from compliance clearance
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
  • Floating: Yes, within scope to meet facility needs
  • Block Schedule: Not accommodated
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted (home address must be at least 75 miles from facility)
  • Pending License: Accepted
  • Return to Office (RTO) Restrictions: No more than 7 days of RTO per 13-week contract

Unit & Patient Population

  • Medical Surgical unit with Telemetry experience preferred
  • Acute medicine population including diabetes, renal issues, COPD, abdominal rule outs, and cancer patients not currently receiving chemotherapy
  • Surgical patients are not cared for on this unit

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Missouri
  • Minimum 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry nursing experience, with experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Ability to pass Relias EKG exam with interpretation and management of dysrhythmias

  • Short Term Acute Care facility
  • Magnet & Teaching Hospital, Level I Trauma Center
  • Total staffed beds: 1,266
  • Charting system: EPIC
  • Scrub color: Navy Blue
  • Parking: Monthly passes available; no charge for straight night shifts parking in employee lot; day/night rotation requires paid parking pass

  • No on-call requirement
  • Candidates must adhere to facility policies including dress code, hand hygiene, and fingernail standards
  • Candidates must complete all required compliance and regulatory education annually
  • Candidates must be prepared to complete any additional unit-specific certifications or training as required
