Work Schedule
- Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts (7:30 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Every other weekend required
- One weekend of call and holidays as assigned
Job Summary
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures including CT and X-ray
- Prepare patients for examinations and ensure radiation safety
- Follow guidelines set by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and facility policies
- Typical department volume: 270-290 scans per day
- Use of GE and Toshiba/Cannon imaging equipment
- Use of EPIC EMR system
- Dress code: charcoal grey scrubs
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Ohio
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience as an X-Ray Technician
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Eligibility
- Traveler’s permanent address must be more than 100 miles from the facility location
Certifications
- ARRT certification (CT and X-ray)
- BLS (AHA, ARC, or Military; RQI acceptable)
- Ohio Radiographer State License (or pending)
- Additional certifications such as ACLS, PALS, or others are not required for this role unless specified by unit
Background and Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check including SS trace, county searches, nationwide criminal search, sex offender search, and sanctions screening
- Negative 9 or 10 panel urine drug screen within 90 days of start (marijuana tested, no medical marijuana exemptions)
- Physical exam within 2 years prior to start, indicating clearance to work without restrictions
- Respirator fit test documentation within 1 year (if applicable)
- Required immunizations and titers: Measles (Rubeola), Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B (titer, series, or declination), and TB screening (2 PPDs, QGold, TSpot, or MTB within 6 months)
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption required by specified deadlines
- TB questionnaire within 90 days of start
- Fingerprinting required on or before orientation day (onsite or scheduled independently)
Competency Requirements
- Unit-specific competency exam within 2 years of start
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam within 7 days of signing, valid within 2 years
- Color blind testing: 100% pass required on online test or approved in-person exam if applicable
Documentation and Agreements
- Must complete facility-specific candidate agreements, confidentiality, and acceptable use policies prior to start
- Proof of name change documentation if applicable
- Driver’s license/state ID required for verification
- Employment application/resume and skills checklist required
