Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse
Location: Knoxville, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Labor & Delivery
- Shift: Night (4x12 hours), 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
- Hours per Week: 48
- Schedule Options: 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available
- On-Call: 36 hours every 6 weeks
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month
- Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:2
- Float Requirement: Yes
Required Certifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
- AWHONN Intermediate (for Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA or ARC accepted
- NIHSS (NIH Stroke Scale)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- All certifications must be current and may not expire within 45 days of assignment start
- Actual certificates must be uploaded; screenshots or photos are not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Tennessee

- References: 2 supervisory references from the past 3 years
- Employment Application: 7-year work history with no unexplained gaps over 30 days; active nursing license(s) only
- Skills Checklist: Unit-specific, updated within the last year
- Photo for Badge: Passport-style photo with solid background, no filters or facial piercings
Additional Notes
- Travelers requesting time off during specified holidays will not be accommodated; holiday time off requests must be addressed onsite with management
- Utility bill or lease/mortgage statement required showing address at least 75 miles from contracted facility
- Competency exams required including medication/pharmacology, dysrhythmia/EKG (except L&D), and core competencies with minimum 80% pass rate
- Color blindness test required within 12 months prior to start (100% score required)
