Description
Job Opportunity: CT Tech
Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM), including weekends
Travel Radius: 60 miles
Job Description
- Perform duties as a CT Technologist.
- Schedule includes 3 twelve-hour day shifts per week, covering weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of Radiation Therapist experience within the last year.
- CT Technologist experience.
- At least 1 completed travel assignment.
Background and Compliance Requirements
- Criminal background check within 90 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked/schooled in the past 7 years.
- I9/E-Verify attestation required prior to start.
- Drug screen within 90 days of start (excluding marijuana), including multiple substances.
- Education verification for highest degree required by position.
- Employment history verification covering at least 2 years within the past 7 years.
- Two positive supervisory references supporting at least 2 years of experience within the last 3 years.
- Completion of facility-specific modules prior to start.
- Annual physical exam confirming ability to perform work without accommodations and free from communicable disease.
- Annual TB questionnaire and negative TB test (PPD, Quantiferon, or Tspot) within 1 year.
- Required immunizations or proof of immunity:
- Tdap vaccine within 10 years preferred
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (2 MMR vaccines or positive titer)
- Varicella (2 vaccines or positive titer)
- Hepatitis B titer, series, or signed declination
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (September 23 – March 31).
Competency Requirements
- Medication/Pharmacology competency exam with a passing score of 80% or higher, updated every 3 years.
- Color blindness testing (online or in-person).
- Competency exam required within 3 years of start, passing score 80% or higher.
- EKG/Dysrhythmia competency exam required for certain specialties (not specifically stated for CT Tech).
Additional Information
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgment required annually.
- Photo for badge must meet facility specifications.
- N95 fit test required within 9 months of start and updated annually if applicable.
- Some certifications and requirements may be unit-specific; verify based on assignment.
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with prior travel experience seeking a 13-week travel contract with a consistent day shift schedule including weekends.
