Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU)

Position Details
- Unit: Progressive Care Unit (Stepdown ICU)
- Shift: Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Schedule: 4 shifts per week (4x12 hour shifts)
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 48
- Weekend hours: As needed
- Call requirements: None
- Float requirements: Required as needed/customary
Patient Population & Unit Info
- Patient mix: Approximately 50% medical and 50% telemetry adult patients
- Patient-to-nurse ratio: Typically 4-6 patients per nurse
- Equipment: Standard nursing equipment on telemetry unit
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Progressive Care Unit (PCU) experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- EKG certification or demonstrated EKG experience
- Valid Driver's License
Job Summary
- Provide nursing care in a 24/7 stepdown ICU environment
- Support critically ill patients requiring telemetry monitoring
- Perform EKG interpretation and advanced cardiac life support interventions
