Registered Nurse – Endoscopy (Travel/Contract)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Specialty: Endoscopy Registered Nurse
- Shift: Day shift, 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts (typically 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
- Includes 2 late shifts per week (latest shift ends around 8 PM)
- No weekend or holiday shifts required
- No floating between facilities; may float within service line and scope
- Call coverage required occasionally for after-hours shifts
- Average daily census: 80 procedures, 47 patient visits per day, 5 procedure rooms
- Patient ratio experience required: 1 nurse to 3 patients
- Initial training/assignment in pre-procedure and post-op areas; potential to train in procedure rooms after skills assessment
- Bonus if experienced in advanced/biliary procedure rooms
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Endoscopy nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Experience with opioid analgesics, propofol, and reversal agents
- Ability to recover monitored anesthesia care (MAC) sedation
- Proficiency in colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), and esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) procedures
- Experience maintaining a 1:3 patient ratio
- Experience using the Epic electronic health record system
