Registered Nurse (RN) - Home Health
Location
- Portland, Maine
Employment Type
- Travel contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Schedule
- Day shift: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- 40 hours per week guaranteed
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend rotation with a weekday off, or permanent schedules available (Tuesday–Saturday with Sunday and Monday off, or Sunday–Thursday with Friday and Saturday off), based on agency needs
- No overnight call; callback required 2–4 times per month between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM if needed
Patient Care & Unit Information
- Patient load: Manage 20–25 cases with 5–6 visits per day; may be reassigned as needed during contract
- Patient types: Adult medical-surgical, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, gastrointestinal, genitourinary
- Electronic Medical Record system: EPIC
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 2 years of Home Health experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in a Home Health setting
- BLS certification
- Experience with Epic
- Experience with OASIS documentation

- IV therapy

- VAC dressings

- Port access care

- Chest tube management
- Suprapubic catheters
- Lab draws
Equipment Provided
- Agency laptop and iPhone with chargers and mouse
- Nursing supply bin and bag with vital signs equipment and INR machine
- All equipment must be returned at contract end

- Organized, collaborative, team-oriented
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Open to feedback for improving practice and workflow
Dress Code
- Business casual or scrubs (any color)
- No jeans, open-toed shoes, or clothing with holes allowed
