Registered Nurse – MS/Telemetry (Neuro Ortho)
Location: Saint Louis, Missouri
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Unit: Neuro Orthopedics, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry
- Shift: Day, 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Patient Ratio: 1 nurse to 6 patients
- Weekend Requirement: 2 shifts every other weekend
- Day shift weekends: Saturday and Sunday every other weekend
- Night shift weekends (if applicable): Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on rotation
- Floating: May float within scope to other units except ICU, Step-Down Unit, and Emergency Department
- Local Radius Rule: Candidates must be outside a 75-mile radius (locals not accepted)
- Pending License: Accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Missouri
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical/Telemetry nursing experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification

Additional Requirements & Policies
- No on-call duties
- No block scheduling accommodations
- Must comply with facility policies including:
- HIPAA Acknowledgement (annual)
- Latex Allergy Questionnaire (annual)
- Confidentiality Agreement (annual)
- Regulatory Compliance Education and Quiz (annual, 80% passing score required)
- Hand Hygiene Policy and Fingernail Policy (must review and adhere)
- Dress Code Policy (must review and sign)
- Badge Photo: Required within 6 months of start, head and shoulders, white background, no obstructions
- Orientation Modules: Required for all RNs, completed via online platform before start (approx. 16 hours)
- Missouri-specific: Family Care Safety Registry (FCSR) and Highway Patrol Check required and must be renewed as specified
Notes
- Candidates may be required to complete additional unit-specific certifications or training as indicated by the unit job description.
- Floating assignments exclude ICU, Step-Down Unit, and Emergency Department.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
