IMC Stepdown Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin
• Unit: IMCU / Stepdown
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Start dates: 8/10, 8/15, 8/24
• Schedule: Variable schedule, primarily days; may also be asked to work 3:00 PM–3:00 AM or 3:00 AM–3:00 PM if needed
• Local candidates accepted at a lower rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Wisconsin
• Stepdown (2 years of experience)
• Stepdown experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• NIHSS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Compliance / Onboarding Requirements

• 2 professional references verified within 2 years of start
• For inpatient RNs in MS, MS/Tele, IMC, Stepdown, and ICU, one reference must be from the most recent acute care assignment and include performance comments
• 7-year background check
• Wisconsin Caregiver Search Results within 90 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
• Flu vaccine or approved exemption during flu season
• Photo for badge
• Confidentiality statement
• Skills checklist
• Annual competency-related documentation as required by the facility

Additional Notes

• NIH stroke certification must be renewed annually
• Drug screen required before start
