Case Manager

Job Overview

  • Location: Lansing, Michigan
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Shift: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Hours per week: 40
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Schedule notes: No call; one weekend per month
  • Work setting: Floating case manager to any inpatient unit
  • Local candidates: Accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Michigan
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Case Management experience within the last year
  • 2 years of Case Management experience
  • BLS issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience in an Acute Care setting
  • Experience in an Inpatient setting
  • Experience with Epic

Additional Notes

  • First-time travelers are accepted
  • Resume with work history is required
  • 2 references from previous employers are required
  • Skill inventory is required
  • Unit-specific competency exam is required
  • Medication test/pharmacology competency exam is required as applicable

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
