Description

RN Case Management / Discharge Planning

Location

  • Jackson, Mississippi

Schedule

  • Days, Monday through Friday
  • 8-hour shifts
  • No weekend requirement
  • Holidays rotated as needed

Assignment Length

  • 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Mississippi
  • Case Management (2 years of experience)
  • Case Management experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
  • Acute Hospital Case Management Experience
  • Discharge Planning
  • Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCM certification
  • BSN preferred
  • ADN may be considered

Work Setting / Scope

  • Covers all inpatient units throughout the hospital
  • Typical caseload: 15–20 patients per day
  • Works with the social work team
  • May consult with respiratory therapy and pharmacy as needed

Additional Requirements

  • Flu vaccine required; only medical exemption with documented evidence of a past severe reaction is allowed
  • Fingerprint clearance required before start
  • Submission must include trauma level, bed size, and specific duties for each job in the past 3 years
  • Previous travel experience in a Level 1 facility within the last 3 years is required

Orientation

  • 2 weeks of department-specific orientation, including general facility orientation
  • Minimal unit training; candidate should be able to learn quickly and work efficiently

Dress Code

  • Any color scrubs or business professional attire

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
