Schedule
- Night shift
- 3x12-hour shifts
- 36 hours per week
- Weekend shifts required: 8 per 6-week schedule period
- Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities
Contract Length

- First-time travelers accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- CVICU (2 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Key Clinical Experience
- Cardiovascular, medical, and surgical ICU care
- Post-cardiothoracic and vascular surgery patients
- Post heart and liver transplant care
- ECMO support
- CVPACU recovery workflow
- Structural heart and vascular procedures
- TEE/cardioversion recovery
- Central line placement support for temporary line needs
- Impella, IABP, LVAD, and CRRT care
Core Skills
- Dysrhythmia interpretation and management
- CVP, pulmonary artery/Swan Ganz, and arterial line monitoring
- Cardiac drip and vasoactive drip titration
- Ventilator, BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC, and tracheostomy care
- Chest tube insertion/removal assistance
- Blood product administration
- IV insulin protocols
- Renal failure, hemodialysis, and urine output monitoring
- Infection prevention and isolation precautions
Compliance Notes
- No pending license accepted
- No on-call requirement
- RTO limit: no more than 7 days
- Navy blue scrubs
- EPIC charting
