Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- 1 year or more of total travel experience
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Ability to assist with arterial line placement
- Ability to assist with central line placement
- Ability to assist with chest tube placement
Key Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients across all acuity levels in the emergency department
- Triage and assess patients quickly
- Manage a 4–5:1 patient ratio, assuming an average ESI level 3 patient
- Care for stroke, STEMI, trauma, and sepsis patients
- Perform clinical skills including PIV, NG/OG tubes, Foley placement, splinting, wound care, and port access/deaccess
- Assist with arterial line, central line, and chest tube placement
- Answer call lights and transport patients
- Complete EMTALA paperwork per hospital policy
- Float to other departments when not needed in the emergency department
- Help precept eventually
Preferred
- Experience as a preceptor and/or charge nurse
Additional Details
- Auto offers only; no interviews
- No 48-hour weekly guarantees
- Blocked scheduling may be requested
- Any solid-color scrubs are allowed
- Small, high-acuity emergency department
- Level III trauma center, STEMI, and stroke-ready setting
