RN (Registered Nurse) — Progressive Care Unit, Albany, Georgia
Assignment Overview
- 17-week contract
- Night shift
- 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
- Cardiac step-down / progressive care setting
- Patient ratio: 1:4
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia RN license
- ACLS
- BLS
- 2 years of step-down experience in an acute care setting
Preferred Qualifications
- NIHSS
- Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
- Ability to pull pacer wires
Unit / Patient Population
- Cardiology step-down unit
- Common patients include post-op CABG, cardiovascular surgery, CHF, atrial fibrillation with RVR, pacemakers, ablations, AICDs, chest tubes, and related cardiac surgical cases
Work Expectations
- Every other weekend required
- Must be flexible with holidays and holiday-adjacent shifts
- Floating to ICU may be required; if the nurse cannot take ICU-level patients, they may be assigned to tasking in the ICU
- Fast-paced unit with frequent admissions and discharges
Additional Notes
- Strict 75-mile radius rule applies
- Clinical interview or auto-offer may be available
- 3-shift floor orientation
- Dress code restrictions include natural-colored hair, no fake nails or shellac, no facial piercings, and no visible tattoos
