RN (Registered Nurse) — Progressive Care Unit, Albany, Georgia

Assignment Overview

• 17-week contract
• Night shift
• 12-hour shifts, 48 hours per week
• Cardiac step-down / progressive care setting
• Patient ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license
• ACLS
• BLS
• 2 years of step-down experience in an acute care setting

Preferred Qualifications

• NIHSS
• Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips
• Ability to pull pacer wires

Unit / Patient Population

• Cardiology step-down unit
• Common patients include post-op CABG, cardiovascular surgery, CHF, atrial fibrillation with RVR, pacemakers, ablations, AICDs, chest tubes, and related cardiac surgical cases

Work Expectations

• Every other weekend required
• Must be flexible with holidays and holiday-adjacent shifts
• Floating to ICU may be required; if the nurse cannot take ICU-level patients, they may be assigned to tasking in the ICU
• Fast-paced unit with frequent admissions and discharges

Additional Notes

• Strict 75-mile radius rule applies
• Clinical interview or auto-offer may be available
• 3-shift floor orientation
• Dress code restrictions include natural-colored hair, no fake nails or shellac, no facial piercings, and no visible tattoos
