RN (Registered Nurse)

Location

Bridgeport, West Virginia

Assignment Details

8-week travel assignment
Start: ASAP
12-hour shifts, nights
Every other weekend
Holiday rotation with permanent staff
Floating may include MedSurg/Telemetry units; Critical Care float is only possible if the nurse has that experience

Required Qualifications

Active RN license
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Ability to titrate drips
Ability to read and interpret telemetry strips

Unit Overview

Telemetry/MedSurg float role
Typical patient population includes cardiac, post-cath, chest pain, pneumonia, chronic renal disease, COPD, orthopedic, and oncology patients
Nurses will not administer chemotherapy; oncology nurses handle chemo treatments
RN-to-patient ratio is 1:5-6 depending on acuity

Work Environment

Charge nurse available 24/7
CNA support is available
CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy
Phillips telemetry monitors are used

Additional Notes

Preferred weekly hours: 48, though 36 hours per week may be considered
Scrub color: royal blue
No false nails

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
