Labor and Delivery RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Saint Paul, Minnesota
Night shift, 3x12 hours
36 hours per week
High-risk labor and delivery
Patient ratio: 1:1
First-time travelers accepted
Every other weekend required
Floating required within scope to postpartum
Local candidates not accepted within 100 miles
Pending license accepted
Block scheduling not available
On-call not required

Required Qualifications

Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Valid RN license in Minnesota
1 year of Labor and Delivery experience
Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
Experience with Epic

Responsibilities / Clinical Experience

High-risk labor and delivery care
C/Births
Postpartum tubal ligations
D and C
Cerclage placement and removal
Waterbirth

Additional Notes

Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
Tdap required
TB screening required
Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and respiratory safety clearance requirements apply
Background check and Minnesota DHS clearance requirements apply
References are not required for client clearance
Drug testing is not required for client clearance
Scrubs are provided by the unit

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
