Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Kansas City, Missouri
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Labor and Delivery / Recovery / Postpartum unit
- Acute care hospital setting
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Missouri
- Labor and Delivery (3 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- EFM
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Antepartum experience
Schedule and Assignment Details
- Weekend rotation required: 4–6 weekend shifts and 2 Fridays per 6-week schedule
- 2 mandatory on-call shifts per 6-week schedule
- May be assigned charge RN duties as needed
- May float within the LDRP unit and to related areas as needed
- Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities
- Guaranteed hours: 3 shifts per 13 weeks
- RTO limit: no more than 7 days
- Block scheduling not available
Clinical Focus
- LDRP care including triage, c-section cases, antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and full couplet care
- Vaginal births, c-sections, postpartum care, antenatal testing, post-op GYN, external cephalic version, and antepartum patients
