Role Summary

• Provides 24-hour leadership and operational oversight for nursing personnel, ancillary personnel, and patient care in the assigned area.
• Responsible for staffing, quality improvement, compliance, budgeting, employee development, and departmental performance.
• Reports to the Director.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Michigan
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• 2 years of Operating Room experience
• Operating Room experience within the last year
• Experience in an Acute Care setting
• Experience in Supervisory roles
• CNOR
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous management experience

Key Responsibilities

• Leads nursing care delivery for the assigned area
• Maintains staffing levels and safe patient care continuity
• Supports staff through clinical resources, education, orientation, competency, and certification oversight
• Participates in quality, safety, policy, and regulatory compliance activities
• Conducts rounding, staff meetings, and formal employee discipline processes
• Oversees budget, productivity goals, annual evaluations, and departmental operations
