House Supervisor
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Gouverneur, New York
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Weekend coverage: every other weekend
- Local candidates must live more than 50 miles away
- First-time travelers are not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- House Supervisor experience within the last year
- 1 year of House Supervisor experience
- One completed travel assignment
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience in Supervisor roles
- 1 year of RN Manager experience
- Experience with Epic
Unit Details
- Average daily census: 19
- 25-bed inpatient unit
- Unit serves swing bed, detox, and medical patients
- Common patient diagnoses include CHF, pneumonia, chest pain rule-out, syncope, diverticulitis, cellulitis, COPD, alcohol withdrawal, opiate withdrawal, and debility
- RN staffing ratio on the inpatient unit is 1:6 on days and 1:7 on nights, with LPN support
- Majority of census is subacute patients needing rehab for debility, wound care, and long-term IV antibiotics
- Bariatric equipment is rented when needed
- Scrubs required
Additional Notes
- Respiratory therapy services are available Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM
