Job Overview

• Full-time travel/contract SLP role in Thornton, Colorado
• 38-week assignment
• Day shift: 5x7.5 hours, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Elementary school setting serving an intensive preschool classroom
• Caseload is 10 total students, split between AM and PM classes
• Ages served: 3–5
• Position is entirely inside the classroom
• Works alongside an early childhood special education teacher

Required Qualifications

• Speech-language pathologist license or credential as required for Colorado school placement
• Colorado SLP license is preferred; if not held, written confirmation that it is not needed for the contract is required
• Official transcripts for position-related degrees
• Mandatory reporter training
• Colorado CAPS Release Authorization
• Colorado VECHS Waiver
• Fingerprint background check results for Colorado CBI/FBI
• Fingerprint clearance attestation/client attestation
• CO CAPS check results
• School access agreement, contingent worker information, and confidentiality agreement
• W-4 and related tax/direct deposit onboarding documents
• Unexpired government-issued photo ID

Certifications / Verifications

• ASHA certification is not required by the client
• BLS is not listed as required for this role
• State license verification is required
• Educational services teaching credential verification is required
• FERPA is required for educational services candidates
• Skills checklist is required for clinical roles only and is not required for non-clinical roles

Health / Screening Items

• TB screening may be required if needed by the client or state
• Physical exam may be required if needed by the client
• Drug testing is only required if specifically requested by the client
• COVID vaccination is not required; face masks are required
