IMC RN Travel/Contract Job

Overview

  • Registered Nurse role in Lynchburg, Virginia
  • Travel/contract assignment
  • 13-week contract
  • Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 60-mile radius rule applies
  • Nights are also listed as an option: 3x12 or 4x12, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Virginia
  • Intermediate Care (1 year of experience)
  • Intermediate Care experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Med Surg experience

Clinical Details

  • Floating may include Intermediate and MedSurg units
  • Travelers float first as needed

Submission Requirements

  • One PDF must include:
    • Candidate profile/work history
    • Specialty-specific skills checklist
    • Minimum 2 manager/charge references from the past 2 years
    • RN license verification
    • Copies of all required certifications

  • Biweekly orientation on Mondays
  • Any-color scrubs are allowed
  • Professional appearance required
  • Child-friendly print tops are allowed
  • Scrub/lab coat allowed
  • Nicotine-free campus
  • Color blind testing is required
  • A competency exam is required
  • A medication test/pharmacology competency exam is required

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
