Description

Nurse Manager

Location

Bronx, New York

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 37 hours per week
  • 8-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend
  • May be asked to participate in holiday rotation

Role Overview

  • Unit manager for a 25-bed Med/Tele unit and ED Hold / Float Pool
  • Oversees a mixed-acuity unit with Med/Surg and Telemetry patients
  • May float to other Med/Surg Telemetry units if needed

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New York
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Experience in a hospital setting
  • Experience in manager roles
  • Telemetry experience within the last year
  • 2 years of telemetry experience
  • Stroke experience
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • De-escalation training

Additional Details

  • No call or standby requirement
  • RN staff are not required to titrate drips
  • Unit orientation is 1 day with a preceptor
  • Royal blue scrubs required

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
