Description

Operating Room RN Travel Contract

Location

  • New Orleans, Louisiana

Schedule

  • Day shift
  • 3x12 hours
  • 36 hours per week

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Role Overview

  • Operating Room RN
  • Must have extensive experience in neuro and ortho spine cases, including craniotomy
  • Neuro call is required
  • Experience in general, ENT, and robotics is a plus

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Louisiana
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • OR - Operating Room (3 years of experience)
  • OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
  • Neurosurgery experience
  • Orthopedic Surgery experience
  • One completed travel assignment

Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

  • Current valid government photo ID
  • 7-year criminal background check
  • EPLS/GSA/SAM check
  • HHS/OIG check
  • Sex offender search
  • NURSYS verification
  • Competency exam
  • Skills checklist
  • Resume/application
  • Physical exam within 12 months of start
  • Fit testing within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months of start
  • Drug screen within 60 days of start
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Seasonal flu vaccination, declination, or approved exemption during flu season
  • Tdap documentation
  • CLEAR enrollment for workforce identity verification
  • Photo for badge
  • Emergency preparedness review during hurricane season

Additional Notes

  • Traveler may be assigned to an emergency team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
