Outpatient Surgery RN

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Madison, Wisconsin
  • Day/evening schedule: Monday–Friday, 4x10-hour shifts
  • No weekends or holidays
  • Rotating day off each week
  • Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Wisconsin
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Outpatient Surgery experience within the last year
  • 2 years of Outpatient Surgery experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), issued by the American Heart Association
  • Experience in an Ambulatory Care or Inpatient setting
  • OR circulation experience
  • OR Circulate experience

Schedule

  • 10-hour shifts
  • Start/end time: 6:40 AM–5:10 PM

Compliance / Onboarding

  • Background check
  • Wisconsin caregiver screening
  • Wisconsin BID form
  • E-Verify
  • Employment application
  • 2 clinical references within the last 3 years
  • Skills checklist
  • Employment and health documentation required before start

Health Requirements

  • TB screening and TB questionnaire
  • MMR immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Varicella immunity or vaccination documentation
  • Hepatitis B documentation or declination
  • Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
  • Drug screening
  • Physical exam
  • Fit mask completed onsite

Additional Notes

  • National certification is preferred for OR Tech/Surgical Tech roles, but not required
  • No weekends or holidays are scheduled

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
