CVPICU RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Portland, Oregon
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:00
- Start date: Tuesdays
- Weekend work required
- Locals accepted
- Pending license accepted if the application has been submitted and received by the licensing board
- First-time travelers accepted with PICU experience
- Must be available to work at least 2 of the 3 major winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of CVPICU experience
- CVPICU experience within the last year
- 2 years of Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) experience with post-operative cardiac patients
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- NRP
Float Scope
- Floats within the hospital to NICU and Pediatric Units
Experience Notes
- First-timers accepted with 3+ years of experience
- Not considered without experience in CVICU or post-op hearts
Unit / Assignment Details
- CVPICU RN
- Bedside procedures may include central line placement, arterial line placement, lumbar puncture, intubations/extubations, CRRT initiation/discontinuation, ECMO cannulations/decannulations, chest exploration, and other emergent operative procedures for patients unable to transport to the OR
