Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Clifton Springs, New York
- 13-week assignment
- 11-bed medical ED with a separate CPEP unit within the ED
Schedule
- Nights/Mids rotation: 1900-0700 / 1100-2300
- 4x12 hours
- Every other weekend
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New York
- 1 year of ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Epic
Additional Details
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates not accepted within a 75-mile radius
- Patient ratio: 1:5
- CPEP space includes an evaluation area for up to 6 patients and an Extended Obs space for up to 2 patients
- Staff in the CPEP include a nurse, PCT, and CPEP BH team when patients are present
- Patients are triaged and medically cleared before entering CPEP
- In CPEP, patients may require labs/EKG only
- Staff typically work 6-hour blocks in CPEP on days/mids; nights may work 12 hours in the space
- Security posts in the ED
