CVOR Surg Tech

Location

  • Martinsburg, West Virginia

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • Day, Evening
  • 40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

  • CVOR Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
  • One completed travel assignment
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • Experience working with Cardiac or Thoracic or Vascular patients
  • Surgical Technologist experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Travel experience

Assignment Details

  • Late October to Early November start
  • Clinicians will onboard for at least 1 week before moving to Berkeley Medical Center
  • Unit orientation is 1 week
  • May need to float within other services of Berkeley OR
  • Mandatory call: 1 night of call per week and 1 weekend of call per month
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • Holiday call as needed
  • Available housing for when on call, at additional cost
  • Ceil blue surgical scrubs are hospital provided

Clinical Scope

  • Cardiac surgery cases include CABG, valve repair/replacement, ECMO, and transplant
  • Thoracic surgery includes robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures such as lung resection, VATS, esophagostomy, POEM, hiatal hernia repair, mediport, EGD, and stents of GI and respiratory systems
  • Vascular surgery includes diagnostic angiography and percutaneous interventions, surgical endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair, visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
