ICU RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Attleboro, Massachusetts
- 13-week night contract
- 14-bed ICU unit
- 4x12 schedule, 18:45–7:15
- 48 hours per week
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Massachusetts
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with telemetry
- Interpretation of dysrhythmias
- Management of dysrhythmias
- Experience with pulmonary artery (PA) catheters
- Experience with continuous IV sedation
Preferred
- CERNER experience
Unit Details
- ICU patient population includes medical patients such as alcohol withdrawal, acute respiratory distress, COPD, GI bleed, drug overdose, and COVID
- Occasional surgical cases including VATS
- ICU patient population also includes post-surgical carotids, VATS, and CEAs
- Typical acuity includes ARDS, ventilated patients, pressors, a-lines, and chest tubes
- Ratio is 1:1 or 1:2
- ICU serves as the code team and rapid response team
- Intensivists are present during the day
- NPs are present on night shift
