Overview
- Role: Registered Respiratory Therapist
- Location: Indianapolis, Indiana
- Employment type: LTA
- Shift: 19:00 - 07:30
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies.
- Assesses patients, develops and implements care plans, monitors patient condition and equipment, performs advanced respiratory care modalities, educates patients and families, and responds to emergency resuscitation team code.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Indiana
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
- Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP Advanced
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience, or Associate's degree/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
- Driver's License
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced Life Support from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support from American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Onboarding / Compliance
- Current license and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start of assignment for all licensed professionals
- At least two professional references
- Resume or profile
- Skills checklist to be completed within one year of start and updated annually for specialty
- Education verification within 90 days of start
- Employment verification for the past seven years
- Confirmation of assignment on agency letterhead
- 11-panel drug screen within 30 days prior to start
- Core competencies completion within a year of start, updated every 3 years
- Background check, EPLS, badge photo, health statement, driver’s license/state ID, MMR, fit test, Hepatitis B, influenza vaccine, TB screening, varicella, and Tdap are required onboarding items
