Opportunity:

RN - Stepdown

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
• 13-week contract with 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Three weekends out of every six-week schedule required
• Every other holiday rotation required
• Float requirement within skillset - first to float to other campus locations with 2-hour notice
• Mid-shift float within same campus possible
• No on-call or call-back requirements
• Patient ratio of 1:5-6 on day shifts
• Care for 19-bed blended unit (8 stepdown beds, 11 medical/telemetry)
• Minimum 2 years solid stepdown experience plus 1 travel contract OR 5 years solid stepdown experience
• Recent EPIC charting experience required with mandatory checkoff class
• Required certifications: Current active compact license, AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS
• Must pass telemetry tests for EKG interpretation
• Care for post-procedure cardiac patients, STEMI/NSTEMI, carotid endarterectomy, sepsis, neuro patients
• Skills include telemetry monitoring, post heart cath care, drip management, NIHSS assessments, chest tube care
• Navy blue scrubs required with no competing health system or agency logos
• Teaching hospital environment may require precepting students and new hires
• Three call-ins can result in contract termination
• Associate degree or certificate required
