Opportunity:

RN - L&D

Job Details:

• Work 12-hour day/night variable shifts
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week for 13-week contract
• 2 weekends out of 4 as needed with holiday rotations
• Float to OB and L&D units, may potentially float to Med/Surg, ER, or ICU for tasks (vital signs, answer lights, complete patient history) with no patient assignment and no isolation rooms
• May float to other locations in the Southern region if needed
• No on-call or back-up requirements, additional shifts may be available for sick calls
• Required certifications: BLS, Advanced NRP, Wisconsin RN license; AWHONN and PALS preferred
• Minimum 2 years OB with L&D experience and 1 travel assignment required
• Critical access hospital experience highly preferred
• EPIC charting experience required
• Labor and Delivery competency required
• Work in 2 labor rooms and 6 post-partum beds with Level 1 maternity/nursery and post-op GYN patients
• Staff according to AWHONN guidelines with variable patient ratios
• Handle labor, post-partum, and newborn nursery care
• Birth rate approximately 100 annually with highly variable monthly census
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of unbillable low census hours
• Will not accommodate more than 7 days of requested time off
• Any scrub colors acceptable, provided if going into surgery
• Must be hard worker, resilient, manages change well, assertive, confident, and team player
