Opportunity:

RN - OR

Job Details:

• Available shift times: 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, 2:45 PM - 7:15 PM, 10:45 PM - 7:15 AM
• Schedule options include 3x12 hour shifts, 2x8 hour and 2x12 hour shifts, or 5x8 hour shifts
• Weekend rotation required every 4th weekend (Saturday-Sunday)
• 6-week schedule provided 2-4 weeks ahead
• Rotation-based scheduling with no self-scheduling option
• Operating room open 24/7, 365 days a year
• Monday-Friday operations from 7:30 AM - 11:00 PM with skeleton crew for trauma and urgent cases after hours
• Weekend operations from 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM with skeleton crew for trauma and urgent cases after hours
• Holiday coverage required
• On-call duties dependent on shifts/service line with 30-minute response time requirement
• Must be able to scrub and circulate for various surgical procedures
• Handle outpatient, inpatient, and trauma cases including GSW, stabbings, transplants, general surgery, GYN, urology, robotics, vascular, ortho, neuro, and open heart procedures
• 20% pediatric cases including open hearts, appendectomies, and cholecystectomies
• 2-3 years of acute care experience required
• Critical care and trauma experience preferred
• EPIC experience required
• BLS certification required

• Sleeping room available for on-call team members
• No floating to other departments

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a comprehensive Level I Trauma Center with Magnet designation and serves as a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The facility features 794 beds and operates a 28-bed operating room department with 2 hybrid rooms for cardiovascular and vascular procedures. The OR handles approximately 60-75 cases per day and provides advanced surgical services including transplant procedures, trauma care, and specialized hybrid room procedures. The facility maintains state-of-the-art technology including EPIC EMR systems and offers comprehensive support with charge nurses, anesthesiologists, resource nurses, educators, and specialized service line representatives.
