Opportunity:

RN - Cardiac Cath Lab

Job Details:

• Work 10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Schedule made in 6-week increments with self-scheduling and manager final approval
• On-call requirements for both weekends and weekdays with 30-minute response time
• Weekend call schedule: 2 shifts needed per 4-week schedule (Saturday and Sunday together or split)
• Weekday call: 4-5 additional overnight call shifts per 4-week schedule
• No sleep room available during on-call shifts
• Minimum 2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab experience required
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Handle 5-15 cases per day including diagnostic/interventional procedures
• Case types include LHC/RHC, NSTEMI and STEMI, Impella, IABPs, Rotoblator, CTOs/staged PCI, shockwave, temp pacers, peripheral diagnostics/interventions, and loop recorders
• EP procedures include Micra, pacemaker, AICDs, lead extractions/revisions, and generator changes
• Skills required: moderate sedation with Versed/Fentanyl, critical drip management, monitor/circulate cases
• Work with technology including EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis med dispensing, Phillips hemodynamics, Merge PACS, and Phillips c-arm equipment
• No floating to other departments
• 1-day unit orientation following NEO
• Request time off up to 7 days in advance
• Scrubs provided
• Holiday call expectations may apply

This healthcare facility is a comprehensive medical center featuring Level 1 Trauma Center designation and Level III Perinatal Center status. The organization operates as a teaching hospital with Magnet designation and comprehensive stroke center capabilities, housing 397 beds. The Cardiac Cath Lab department includes 3 procedure rooms and provides extensive support services including charge RN participation, reception services, hospitalist/physician availability after hours, respiratory therapy, and dedicated management supervision.
