Opportunity:

Respiratory Therapist - Respiratory Therapy

Job Details:

• Day shifts, 12 hours from 7:30 AM to 8:00 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• 6-week contract length
• Every other weekend and every other holiday rotation required
• Two to three nights of on-call per week
• May float throughout the hospital as needed
• May float to additional facility location if staffing needs require
• Associate Degree or Certificate required
• Minimum 1 year of experience required
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS; NRP preferred
• Michigan respiratory license required
• ARRT license required
• Must be proficient with equipment including HAMILTON GV VENT, LTV VENT, C1 VENT, EPIC EMR, MGC PFT BODY BOX, GE SEER HOLTERS, GE MAC5500 EKGs, PHILLIPS V60 BiPAP, and PYXIS DOSE MANAGEMENT
• Skills required include home sleep testing, Holter, EKG, event monitors, nebulizers, pulmonary function testing, patient education, OB deliveries, and Trauma/ED
• Must be proficient in basic respiratory care, critical care, ventilator management, patient assessment with assess and treat protocols, and care for all age groups
• Arterial blood gas draw experience required
• Both non-invasive and invasive ventilator management experience required
• Must be comfortable working independently and covering the facility alone
• Dress code: Scrubs
