Opportunity:

RN - Interventional Radiology

Job Details:

• Work five 8-hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
• Schedule is made in 12-week increments
• Weekend rotation includes on-call responsibilities
• On-call schedule runs every 3 weeks for a week at a time, Monday 4:00 PM through the following Monday 7:00 AM, with a 45-minute response time
• May be on call for up to 50% of holidays during a contract
• Weekday call will mostly consist of staying late; potential to be called in on weekends
• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience required
• First-time travelers are accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and ACLS
• Experience with moderate sedation (Versed, Fentanyl, Dilaudid; no Propofol) required
• Circulate for procedures; may float to CT to assist with procedures and sedation
• Experience with procedure types including nephrostomy tubes, sonograms, port placements, biopsies, angiograms, PE thrombectomies, embolizations, and kyphoplasty/vertebroplasty preferred
• Comfortable charting and coding for cases preferred but not required
• EMR system: EPIC (Radiant) experience preferred
• Equipment used includes Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, McKesson PACS, and GE Fluoro and ultrasound machines
• Scrubs are provided by the facility
• If a locker is desired, bring your own lock
• Free parking is available on site

Facility:

This community hospital is a 100-bed facility designated as a Level IV Trauma Center and a certified Stroke Center. The Interventional Radiology department operates one IR suite and one minor procedure room, serving an average of 5 to 8 patients per day. The department is supported by radiologists, a radiology PA, lead RN and tech staff, management, a rapid response and code team, respiratory therapy, and hospitalists, creating a well-rounded and collaborative care environment.
