Opportunity:

Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech

Job Details:

• Monday through Friday operations only with no weekend rotation required
• Shift hours: 6:45 AM to 3:30 PM
• No on-call requirements
• Facility closed on major holidays
• 5 operating rooms with approximately 35-40 cases per day including all case types and endoscopy
• Work with patients of all ages, as young as 12 months
• Lower acuity and same-day surgical cases including plastics (facelift, endoscopic brow lift, blepharoplasty), endoscopy (EGD/colonoscopies, sigmoidoscopy, Halo procedure, Bravo procedure), interventional pain management (epidural steroid injections, radiofrequency ablations, cervical lumbar injections), and general/urology (hernia repair, appendectomies, laparoscopies, vasectomies)
• No orthopedic cases at primary site; primarily hand cases, but arthroscopies may be seen if floating to other sites
• Patients are recovered in the same room as their Pre-Op with no true PACU within the facility
• Patient ratios: Pre-op 1:1, PACU/Phase I 1:1, Phase II 3:1
• Required certification: BLS; national certification not required, only graduation from an accredited program
• Experience required in above-mentioned case types and prepping case carts
• Potential to float to any of 3 other ambulatory surgery centers (approximately 25-35 minutes away) as needed and at any point during shift
• Scrubs are provided
• Free parking available on site
• No cafeteria on site; must bring lunch

Facility:

This ambulatory surgery center operates five operating rooms and handles approximately 35-40 cases per day, covering a wide range of surgical specialties including plastics, endoscopy, interventional pain management, and general/urology procedures. The facility serves patients of all ages starting from 12 months and focuses on lower acuity, same-day surgical cases. A strong support team is in place including a director, supervisor, manager, lead OR RN, lead pre/post RN, and medical assistants to ensure a well-structured and collaborative work environment.
