Opportunity:
MRI Technologist - MRI
Job Details:
• Day/Evening 8-hour shifts
• Primary schedule Monday through Thursday 1:30 PM to 9:30 PM with a Friday day or evening shift
• May be assigned other shifts based on business needs
• No weekends or call required
• Holidays as needed
• Locations will include Science Drive, University Hospital, and other locations as needed
• Travelers are required to float as needed
• Must be located more than 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted
• 2 years of clinical experience required
• GE experience in the last 18 to 24 months required
• Trauma Level I experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
• Epic charting system experience preferred
• Perform technical imaging examinations and complex, specialized procedures utilizing a wide variety of imaging equipment and systems
• Work independently with all patient age groups across varying locations
• Responsible for maintenance and repairs, participate in quality assurance, and resolve issues related to image processing and image archiving systems
• Work collaboratively with staff to prioritize and organize schedules and triage routine and emergent procedures
• Participate in instruction of fellows, residents, physicians, and visiting healthcare professionals, and may participate in clinical research
• PE pulmonary embolism exam MRA required if working PM shifts; otherwise preferred
• Required certifications: ARRT Magnetic Resonance (MR) certification or ARMRIT, AHA BLS
• Graduate of a School of Radiologic Technology required
• Required skills include: abdomen, brain, ER/Trauma, gradient echo imaging, MRCP, PACS, preparation and administration of contrast media, starting peripheral IVs, T-1 and T-2 weighted images, spinal trauma, multiplanar reconstruction, and communication with IP and ED teams independently
