Description

Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) located in Honolulu, Hawaii. This position involves providing post-operative recovery care for patients in a Level 1 Trauma Center with a large medical center setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Location: Honolulu, Hawaii
  • Schedule: Rotating shifts; 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Required Qualifications:
    • Graduate of an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred
    • Active, unencumbered Hawaii Registered Nurse (RN) license required to apply
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / Health Care Provider (HCP), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
    • Telemetry experience required; Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience highly preferred
    • Two (2) or more years of full-time Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Phase I/II staff RN experience in a comparable size/type medical center (500+ beds, Level 1 Trauma Center) not including travel assignments
    • All licenses and certifications must be valid at the time of application submission through the duration of the initial contract
  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • CPI (or equivalent) and NIHSS certifications preferred
    • Specialty certifications such as CCRN, CPAN, PCCN highly desired
    • Epic Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience preferred
    • Trauma Level experience and teaching hospital experience preferred
  • Additional Information:
    • Compliance must be completed no later than 10 days prior to the contract start date; failure to do so will result in delay or cancellation of the assignment
    • If the RN is not needed on their unit or a similar unit as an RN, they will be assigned to perform nursing assistant or safety sitter role, which is expected
    • A 48-hour contract is also available
    • Professional has confirmed there are no limitations preventing acceptance, start date, weekly pay, understanding floating requirements, and exploring housing options
