Description
Job Summary:
A registered nurse specializing in Labor and Delivery, located in Brattleboro, Vermont. This position involves working during night shifts in a Labor and Delivery Department within a facility that has a 61-bed capacity and offers postpartum care. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Brattleboro, Vermont
- Position: Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery Department
- Experience: 2 years of experience in labor, delivery, or postpartum nursing
- Certifications: Advanced Fetal Monitoring, Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Schedule: 3x12-hour night shifts per week, minimum 36 hours per week
- Float: Float rotation may be required, preferably within scope but not anticipated to happen frequently.
- Additional Information:
- Unit set up includes 7 birthing rooms, a nursery, and overflow rooms adjacent to the unit.
- The facility has a Level One Nursery, with transfers for higher-risk births to tertiary centers.
- The RN is required to do antepartum and postpartum care, but not scrub or circulate on C-sections (scrubbing only to receive neonates from sterile field).
- Nurse to patient ratio follows AWHONN staffing guidelines.
- Charting system in use is Cerner.
- No BSN required.
- License submission required.
- The facility is not a trauma center.
