Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) position in Portland, Maine. This role involves providing patient care on a stroke-certified medical-surgical telemetry unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details
- Location: Portland, Maine
- Required Qualifications: BLS certification; current RN license; 1 year of inpatient acute medical-surgical experience; travel experience preferred.
- Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts (1900-0700), minimum of 36 hours per week.
- Additional Information: The unit is stroke certified, with a patient ratio of approximately 1:5 on night shifts and 1:4 on day shifts. The role involves working with telemetry equipment (Plum, Stryker) and EMR using Epic. Float may be required per hospital needs and unit guidelines. Candidates should have experience with telemetry, PCA, epidural, wound vac, and IV pumps. Personality fit includes a positive attitude, teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability.
