Description

Job Summary:
Schenectady, New York The organization is seeking a registered nurse (RN) for a postpartum floor position in a Mother/Baby unit. This role involves providing post-partum assessments, caring for new moms following vaginal or cesarean deliveries, and monitoring infants for weight changes and bilirubin levels. Experience in lactation is a plus. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

  • Required Qualifications:
    Certifications: Valid RN license.
    Education: At least 2 years of experience in the specialty of postpartum or mother/baby nursing.
    Location: Must be licensed in or willing to obtain licensure in New York.
    Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the specialty.

  • Schedule:
    12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with 30-minute unpaid break. Minimum of 36 hours per week.
    Every other weekend required.

  • Additional Information:
    Replacement need from August 3 to September 1. No block scheduling will be approved. IVS to offer if RTO (Request for Time Off) is 4 days or less, no holiday RTO, and at least 2 years experience in the specialty.
    Float: Float rotation may be required.
