Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Floor located in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. The position involves providing patient care on a 1W Medical Surgical unit and a 2E Medical Surgical unit within an acute care setting. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role offers a 12-hour night shift schedule with weekend rotations and integration into the holiday rotation.

Job Details:

• Location: Uniontown, Pennsylvania
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM 7:30 AM for RNs, 6:00 AM 2:30 PM and 2:00 PM 10:30 PM for Certified Nursing Assistants), with weekends and holidays as scheduled. Self-scheduling and blocked schedules are permitted, provided staffing needs are met.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a Medical Surgical setting; willingness to wait for license submission; the ability to work into the permanent staff holiday rotation.
• Additional Information: The unit primarily handles post-surgical, orthopedic, pneumonia, dialysis, palliative care, hospice, end-of-life, and chemotherapy patients. There are separate 'clean' and 'dirty' patient hallways for COVID-19 patients; candidates must be comfortable with shared assignments in these areas. The unit utilizes Cerner electronic charting system. No trauma level designation.
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other Medical Surgical units.
• Certifications: BLS Certification
• Special Notes: Work into the permanent staff holiday rotation. The unit has no monitors on telemetry, but remote tele monitoring is used for telemetry patients. The unit allows self-scheduling and blocked scheduling, with a one-shift floor-specific orientation with a preceptor.
