Description
Job Summary:
Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Progressive Care Unit located in Louisville, Kentucky. This position involves providing specialized patient care within a designated medical unit, focusing on patients requiring close monitoring and advanced nursing skills. Candidates are required to bring their nursing license on the first day of employment.
Job Details:
- Location: Louisville, Kentucky
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, 0 years of experience required, with at least 0 years of relevant nursing experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Bipap, high flow oxygen requirements, trach care, chest tube management, Peripheral Intravenous (PIV) starts, wound/skin care, blood product administration, cardiac monitor/telemetry, central line care, and drips including milrinone and heparin.
- Additional Information: The role requires working in a team with support from PCA/CNA staff and charge nurses. Orientation includes multiple days of unit and departmental training. The candidate must be comfortable floating within scope of practice and scope of the unit. Scrub color is Galaxy Blue. Parking is provided free with badge access. The position may include holiday rotations as applicable, and limited on-call duties.
