Job Summary:
Cardiac Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) in Phoenix, Arizona. This position involves providing specialized cardiac care on a telemetry unit with a focus on interpreting EKGs, managing post-transplant, MI, CP, and other cardiac-related diagnoses. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Phoenix, Arizona
- Unit: Cardiac Telemetry 7N
- Shift: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with a schedule of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA) required at the time of submission
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Schedule: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with 3 of 4 weekend shifts every 4-week period and holidays incorporated into the rotation
- Required Qualifications: Valid license to submit, current BLS and ACLS certifications, 2 years' experience in telemetry care, familiarity with Cerner electronic medical record system, ability to interpret EKGs, and pass dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance (with two attempts).
- Additional Information: Must complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion, central line dressing changes, sterile field maintenance, lifts, restraints, and wound care. Unit-specific orientation of 3 days on the floor is required. Candidates must meet facility-specific criteria, including handling high acuity patients and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Float: Float rotation may be required to other telemetry units, neuro telemetry, or stepdown units.
- Facility Requirements: All clinical competencies related to sterile procedures, lifts, restraints, and wound care are essential. Pass/fail SIMs Lab assessment is mandatory, and candidates must demonstrate competence in these skills.
